EtherEye
EtherEye is an award-winning, next-generation passive reconnaissance system developed by a consortium of leaders in the Polish defense technology sector—XY-Sensing, Vortex, and SkyRad. The solution integrates Passive Coherent Location (PCL) radar technology, Passive Emitter Tracking (PET) radio frequency reconnaissance, electro-optical sensor integration, and advanced data fusion within a dedicated Command and Control (C2) platform: HORUS.
Undetectable, Covert Surveillance
Featuring a fully passive architecture, the system enables continuous detection, tracking, and classification of targets—including drones/UAVs and manned aircraft—without radiating any RF signals. This guarantees absolute operational stealth and inherent immunity to adversary electronic jamming and electronic warfare (EW) countermeasures.
Integrated Multi-Sensor Data Fusion
PCL – Passive Radar (Passive Coherent Location)
- Operating Principle: Exploits ambient commercial broadcast transmissions ("illuminators of opportunity") to detect and track non-cooperative airborne objects.
- Detection Range: Up to 250 km (depending on deployment geometry and available transmitters).
- Architecture: Multi-static, distributed sensor network.
PET – Sensor RF (Passive Emitter Tracking)
- Operating Principle: Interception, direction finding, and identification of radio frequency emissions (communications links, UAV telemetry, and onboard radars).
- Frequency Range: 2 MHz – 40 GHz (customizable to specific operational requirements).
- Application: Rapid emitter type identification and Electronic Intelligence / Signals Intelligence (SIGINT/ELINT) support.
HORUS – Command and Control System (C2 Layer)
- Data Fusion: Advanced correlation and fusion of data streams from PCL radars, PET sensors, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) cameras, and effector/countermeasure systems.
- Multi-Target Tracking: Automated threat prioritization, velocity vector calculation, altitude (MSL) tracking, and trajectory heading estimation.
- Real-Time Classification: Algorithmic probability estimation of target categories (e.g., DRONE / JET / AUAS).
- Open Architecture: Modular scalability and seamless integration into external C4ISR networks, air defense systems, and counter-drone architectures.
Integration with EO/IR and Countermeasures
- Automated slaving and cueing of day/night EO/IR camera payloads onto detected tracks.
- Interoperability with electronic countermeasure systems (soft-kill/jamming) and kinetic neutralization platforms (hard-kill drone defense).
